Confined to a power wheel chair and dependent on others, you become aware of what is really important.
A LOVING WIFE AND FAMILY: children and grand children that are there to assist.
PATIENCE: Not everyone marches to the beat of YOUR drum! Help will be there, but you may have to wait a little.
A TOILEVATOR: Look it up and you will understand!
A SHOWER BUDDY : A little mobility to get in and out of the shower
A BIDET: Consider it an essential rather than an oddity in French hotels.
A POWER WHEELCHAIR: Especially one that elevates and reclines.
ACCEPT YOUR SITUATION: It’s not going to get any better, so keep a positive attitude, nobody wants to be around a ‘grump’, friends and family are extremely important!

I can walk with pain and cane. Othewise osteoarthritis has taken it’s toll. I couldn’t live without a power lift chair. The challenges that you are living with maybe in the future. My wife and I live in West Islip. She is also an ex AILer.
